Julian Halley as Brick police detectives were investigating numerous break-ins to local businesses that shared some similar characteristics. The burglaries took place between Aug. 5 and Aug. 23, said Sgt. Larry Petrola.<\/p>\n<p>In all the burglaries, the same suspect was identified through video surveillance prying business doors open with a crowbar.\u00a0 There were two instances, Petrola said, where the suspect smashed the front glass door to the business. The suspect targeted the businesses\u2019 cash registers in the burglaries, which all took place during the overnight hours.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Halley\u2019s identification, detectives issued a warrant for Oliveri\u2019s arrest Aug. 20. He was taken into custody by Lacey police Aug. 31 on the active warrant, which for the burglary of Yo Fresh Yogurt, Petrola said. He is also suspected of burglarizing a Lacey business.<\/p>\n<p>Oliveri was transported to the Brick police department where he was processed on the Brick Township warrant, said Petrola. He was unable to post $50,000 cash bail and was subsequently transported to Ocean County Jail where he was lodged.<\/p>\n<p>Oliveri is suspected of committing five burglaries and charges will be pending on those that are remaining, according to police.\u00a0 The five businesses are Yo Fresh Yogurt, Via Vineto Italian Restaurant, Mr. Alan\u2019s Original Florist, ILL Boccone Italian Restaurant and Terriganis Bagels, police said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2015\/09\/homeless-man-arrested-suspected-of-burglarizing-5-brick-businesses\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police have charged a homeless man with burglarizing five Brick Township businesses and another business in Lacey Township.
