(Photo: Daniel Nee) Click to enlarge.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A large-scale improvement project at Lake Riviera Park worth nearly $1 million was approved by the Brick Township Council Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The council unanimously approved a contract that provides for the renovations to the park, worth $977,021, to Jamali Construction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe residents of Lake Riviera have been waiting a very, very long time for this park,\u201d said Councilwoman Andrea Zapcic. \u201cThe better part of 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The renovation will include two playgrounds along with a new walking trail and fishing pier. A rock wall will separate the beach area from a grassy play area, Zapcic has said. A new gazebo will be built in the middle of the park.
