The GOP ticket received a combined $10,400 from the Bramnick for Assembly and Kean for Senate campaigns, as well as well as $7,000 from the Ocean County Republican Finance Committee. The Forked River-based law firm of Dasti, Murphy, McGuckin, Ulaky, Koutsouris & Connors donated $2,500 to the campaign, while the Toms River engineering firm of Remington Vernick & Vena contributed an additional $7,500, bringing the firm’s total donation to $15,500 in the aggregate.

Brick Township Democrats transferred thousands from individual candidate accounts during the final days of the campaign, the filings show, with the largest of their donations originating from organized labor. The Democratic ticket received a $10,000 donations from the New Jersey State Laborers Political Action Committee. The Democrats received a $2,000 donation from the Florio Kenny Raval law firm, based in Hoboken, and another $2,000 from attorney David McPherson of Secaucus.

Both council campaigns had spent thousands of dollars on campaign mailers over the last 13 days, the records showed. The independent campaign of Bob Moore did not report any last-minute expenditures.

On the school board front, records showed that just a single ticket – that of John Talty, Larry Reid, Lois Turner and Walter Campbell – had filed reports with the the Election Law Enforcement Commission which are required when donations are accepted. That ticket reported no last-minute donations or expenditures.

Brick Township Council candidates reported significant sums of campaign cash to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission in the days leading up to Tuesday’s general election, including large influxes of support from the state Republican infrastructure and organized labor to the GOP and Democrat tickets, respectively.
