(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The decades-long winning streak for GOP candidates on the Ocean County freeholder board was upheld Tuesday night, as two incumbent Republican members of the board won easy victories over their Democrat opponents. Meanwhile, county clerk Scott M. Colabella also cruised to victory over his challenger.<\/p>\n<p>Freeholders John C. Bartlett, a member of the board since 1979, and Gerry P. Little, a member of the board since 2003, bested their rivals, Christopher Leitner, a former Point Pleasant Borough councilman, and Jimmy Esposito, a former state legislative candidate from Lakewood, by a wide margin.<\/p>\n<p>Little and Bartlett received 43,007 votes and 46,179 votes respectively, compared with Leitner and Esposito\u2019s XXX,XXX and XXX,XXX votes.<\/p>\n<p>Colabella, a Barnegat Light resident who was running against Kieran Pillion, an attorney and Island Heights councilman, also ended Tuesday night with a victory. Colabela received 47,309 votes compared to Pillion\u2019s 25,393.<\/p>\n<p>Bartlett, a former Pine Beach councilman and mayor, and Little, a former Surf City councilman, will each serve three year terms on the board.
