Neal Pedersen. The accident occurred when\u00a0Carole Kenworthy, 54, was driving her 2002 Ford Explorer\u00a0northbound on Hooper Avenue, approaching the area of the apartment complex. The vehicle struck\u00a0Nieto in the left lane of the roadway.<\/p>\n<p>Nieto was treated at the scene by Brick Police EMS and Monoc paramedics, and flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by helicopter for treatment of internal injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The accident remains under investigation by\u00a0Pedersen and Ptl. Scott Dierking from the Traffic Safety Unit.
