Neal Pedersen said.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at 8:35 p.m. Thursday\u00a0on Brick Boulevard\u00a0near the intersection of Chambersbridge Road. \u00a0The pedestrianwas struck by a vehicle being driven by\u00a0Helen Walling, 75, of Toms River, who was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry.<\/p>\n<p>Walling had been traveling southbound on Brick Blvd.,\u00a0approaching the intersection of Chambersbridge Road,\u00a0while the pedestrian was crossing the road a few hundred feet north of the intersection, Pedersen said. The car struck the pedestrian in the middle lane while traveling southbound.<\/p>\n<p>The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene, Pedersen said.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen and Ptl.
