(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A pontoon boat carrying seven passengers capsized about a half-mile off Manasquan Inlet Friday, killing two and sending several others to a local hospital.<\/p>\n<p>All seven people were\u00a0recovered after a search that included the U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police and the New York City Police Department\u2019s aviation unit, though two were found unresponsive\u00a0and later died. The two men who died were identified as Alex Osadchy, 66, and Grigory Klokishner, 74, both of Philadelphia, according to state police.<\/p>\n<p>The pontoon boat\u00a0was towed into Manasquan Inlet by 4:30 p.m. by a TowBoatUS crew.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 3010px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shorebeat.com\/brick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_4736.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shorebeat.com\/brick\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_4736.jpg\" alt=\"A pontoon boat that capsized off Manasquan Inlet is towed in. (Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Although the cause of the vessel capsizing is currently under investigation, the strong currents at the time of the incident may have been a contributing factor, state police said in a statement. Of the group, two were pronounced dead and\u00a0four were taken to Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with non-life threatening injuries.
