Police have identified the man killed in a Thanksgiving night accident in which a vehicle struck a pedestrian<\/a> as Bryan Harnik, 40, of Brick.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred at 8:35 p.m. Thursday\u00a0on Brick Boulevard\u00a0near the intersection of Chambersbridge Road. \u00a0The pedestrian was struck by a 1999 Toyota Camry bring driven by Helen Walling, 75, of Toms River.<\/p>\n

According to police, Walling had been traveling southbound on Brick Blvd.,\u00a0approaching the intersection of Chambers Bridge Road,\u00a0while Harnik was crossing the road a few hundred feet north of the intersection. The car struck the pedestrian in the middle lane while traveling southbound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to contact the Traffic Safety Unit at 732-262-1140.<\/p>\n
