(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Brick Township Council this week was forced to reject bids received for the demolition of an abandoned home on South Beverly Drive, located in the Beverly Beach neighborhood in the Herbertsville section.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bidders failed to meet the administrative requirements of the bid,&#8221; forcing the rejection, said Council President Paul Mummolo.<\/p>\n<p>The home in question, 126 South Beverly Drive, has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shorebeat.com\/brick\/2015\/05\/relief-finally-abandoned-home-becomes-6-year-nightmare-for-brick-neighborhood\/\">vacant for more than six years<\/a>, leaving neighbors to deal with animal infestation, a mosquito breeding ground and the threat of damage to adjacent homes due to a retaining wall being in poor condition.
