(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mayor John Ducey said the township will save $60,000 per year by eliminating \u201cgrantsman\u201d services, a contracted position wherein a vendor is paid to\u00a0obtain grant funding for the township.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I first became mayor in 2014, we decided to stick around with the grantsman,\u201d said Ducey. \u201cThis year, we know we can do it in-house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The township council rejected all bids for the grantsman position for 2016 at its meeting Tuesday night. Ducey said Tara Paxton, the township\u2019s assistant planer, will be tasked with securing grant funding for the township. Business Administrator Joanne Bergin\u00a0also has a rich background in obtaining grant funding and will assist.<\/p>\n<p>During the first year of Ducey\u2019s administration, the township paid $60,000 for grantsman services.
