(Credit: TRPD)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Toms River police are seeking the public\u2019s help in identifying the owner of a red Jeep that was involved in a hit-and-run accident after the snow storm last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred on Oak Ridge Parkway just north of Oakside Drive sometime in the overnight hours Sunday into Monday, said police spokesman Ralph Stocco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Jeep should have extensive right side damage and will be needing repairs,\u201d Stocco said.<\/p>\n<p>Based on pieces of the vehicle that were left behind at the crash scene authorities believe it to be a mid 1990s \u2013 likely in the \u201994, \u201995 or \u201996 model years \u2013 red Jeep Cherokee.\u00a0 The vehicle should be missing or have a severely damaged front bumper.\u00a0 It will also be missing a door handle, have a broken out rear passenger side window, as well as passenger side damage.\u00a0 There is also an indication that some of the lights may be spray painted to achieve a \u201cblack out\u201d look.<\/p>\n<p>A vehicle similar to the one that is suspected of being involved is pictured alongside this article \u2013 it is not the actual vehicle.\u00a0 If anyone can identify the driver they are being asked to contact Traffic officer Adam Koeppen at 7320349-0150 extension 1350.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2016\/01\/toms-river-police-searching-for-vehicle-involved-in-hit-and-run\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toms River police are seeking the public\u2019s help in identifying the owner of a red Jeep that was involved in a hit-and-run accident after the snow storm last weekend.
