Ocean County College is offering its\u00a0O.P.E.N. Workshops (Opening Pathways to Education Now) series in the coming months that will help students and parents review their financial aid status.<\/p>\n<p>Workshops are held on selected\u00a0Saturdays\u00a0from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Room 203 and Room 205, Technology Building (Building\u00a025), Main Campus, Toms River. Admission is free and open to the public, but eating is limited and registration is required.<\/p>\n<p>The program will be held\u00a0March 19;\u00a0April 2\u00a0and\u00a0April 16;\u00a0May 14;\u00a0June 11;\u00a0July 16;\u00a0October 22; and\u00a0November 12.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0O.P.E.N. program is an initiative that seeks to increase awareness of the affordability of obtaining a post-secondary education. Sessions are designed to assist parents and students in completing the FAFSA application and discuss the basic concepts of financial aid including cost of attendance, estimated family contribution, and the differences between loans and grants.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees should bring their 2015 Federal Tax Returns\u00a0(call for alternate document options)\u00a0and W-2s for student and parents\u00a0(if applicable)\u00a0and all accompanying schedules.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in attending can RSVP online at <a href=\"http:\/\/go.ocean.edu\/events\">go.ocean.edu\/events<\/a>.
