(File Photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The new Roy Rogers restaurant on Brick Boulevard will open this week, the restaurant said in an announcement Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The new location at 72 Brick Boulevard \u2013 near the road\u2019s intersection with Molly Lane \u2013 will officially open this Thursday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m., the company said.<\/p>\n<p>The Brick location will be the second in Ocean County, the first being the long-running\u00a0location on Route 9 in Pine Beach, which is owned by the same franchisee as the new Brick restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The chain is known for offering the \u201cbig three\u201d items that its customers \u2013 nicknamed ROYalists \u2013 desire most:\u00a0hamburgers, roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken. The chain is named for Roy Rogers, an actor who frequently portrayed cowboys in western films.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoy embodied the honest, wholesome image desired for the brand,\u201d the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royrogersrestaurants.com\/company-information\/about-us\">chain\u2019s website<\/a> says. \u201cHis genuine western appreciation for quality roast beef and \u201cdown home cooking\u201d provided an authenticity that customers could relate to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s Roy Rogers menu includes breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy, pancakes, egg platters and sandwiches, and chipped beef.
