Greg Carpino said. At 9:22 p.m., police were called to the store for a report of a woman who was \u201c<span class=\"s1\">yelling and acting out of control,\u201d a statement from police said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As three officers were trying to bring Susan L. Nye, 54, under control and arrest her for disorderly conduct, \u201c<span class=\"s1\">she pulled pepper spray from her pocket and deployed it into Ptl. Roland\u2019s face,\u201d Carpino said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nye was subsequently arrested and evaluated by EMS for non-life threatening injuries, then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune,\u00a0for evaluation.\u00a0Roland, the officer, was evaluated by EMS and refused any further medical attention.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nye was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and disorderly donduct.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Her bail was set by the Municipal Court Judge Michael Pugliese at $33,500 cash.
