A Brick Township condominium was the target of a raid along with numerous other residences in local towns as part of a massive, multi-jurisdictional drug bust known as \u201cOperation MVP.\u201d<\/p>\n

The operation, which came after an earlier series of raids<\/a> focused on heroin, resulted in 18 people, including a Brick resident, charged with various drug offenses, including drug distribution.<\/p>\n

In Brick, a search warrant was executed at 452 Lonna Court in the Evergreen Woods development, resulting in the arrest of\u00a0Kashawn Cotte, who was charged with\u00a0possession of heroin, possession of over one half ounce of heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute heroin and distribution of over one half ounce of heroin.<\/p>\n

The investigation also included a raid on a residence on Cedar Bridge Avenue in Lakewood.\u00a0Members of the U.S. Marshals Service along with members of the prosecutor\u2019s office\u2019s Special Operations Group, the Toms River Police Department and the Lakewood Township Police Department executed the search warrant at\u00a0208 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Apartment A, the residence of Nyshawne \u201cChub and Harlem\u201d Sutton.<\/p>\n

Sutton was charged with\u00a0possession of Heroin, possession of over one half ounce of heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute heroin and distribution of over one half ounce of heroin.<\/p>\n

In all, authorities searched nine residences, yielding 8,000 dosages of heroin,\u00a0quantities of prescription pills, cocaine and marijuana, an AR-15 assault rifle, a Ruger semi-automatic pistol and approximately $40,000 in cash, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
