(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Seaside Heights was voted Ocean County\u2019s favorite beach in an annual survey of New Jersey residents and visitors, but didn\u2019t quite make the top spot in the Garden State.<\/p>\n<p>The annual vote, organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/njseagrant.org\/\">New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium<\/a>, is aimed at promoting tourism in New Jersey while shedding light on\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/njseagrant.org\/research\/research-projects\/\">numerous coastal\u00a0research projects<\/a> the organization funds each year. Brick\u2019s beaches were included as an option in the survey, but did not place in the results.<\/p>\n<p>Seaside Heights was named the county\u2019s top beach, followed by Point Pleasant Beach, the runner up. Overall, Ocean City was named the favorite beach in New Jersey, followed by Wildwood Crest.
