(Photo: OCPO)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A summer law enforcement detail to crack down on traffic offenses on a busy county road that \u2013 partially \u2013 runs through Brick has netted a surprisingly high number of seatbelt violations, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The operation on Route 528 \u2013 known in Brick as Mantoloking Road and Cedar Bridge Avenue \u2013 resulted in 311 traffic stops, translating to 211 tickets and six arrests during the period of June 17 through June 30, when the detail was underway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost disturbing was that seatbelt summonses topped the charts at 73,\u201d said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office, which led the operation. \u201cIt can\u2019t be stressed enough the importance of wearing seatbelts for the safety of all vehicle occupants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the positive side, said Della Fave, just eight speeding tickets were issued.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2016\/08\/in-local-road-detail-cops-find-plethora-of-seatbelt-violations\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A summer law enforcement detail to crack down on traffic offenses on a busy county road that \u2013 partially \u2013 runs through Brick has netted a surprisingly high number of seatbelt violations, officials said.
