Thus the wall \u2013 which was covered before the 2016 summer season \u2013 was acting as the only barrier between homes and roadways and the ocean.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The wall was exposed near Jeannette Drive in the Normandy Beach section, and significant cliffs were present throughout the neighborhood.
