Two Brick residents were among five arrested in multi-agency raids that were the culmination of a two month-long investigation into drug distribution.<\/p>\n

The Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office said Wednesday that the investigation centered on a residence in Jackson as well as several vehicles. The operation included the northern and southern drug enforcement units of the prosecutor\u2019s office and Lakewood and Jackson police.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0investigation \u201cidentified a residence in Jackson Township,\u201d specifically 1202 Arcadia Court, as well as a residence in Lakewood \u2013\u00a0523 Davina Court \u2013 as being utilized to store and distribute quantities of heroin, a statement from the prosecutor\u2019s office said. Detectives also identified three vehicles \u2013 a 2014 Gold Chevrolet Impala, a 2009 black Nissan Maxima and a 2015 red Honda Civic as being utilized by the alleged distribution network to store and distribute quantities of drugs.<\/p>\n

As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained no knock search warrants for the two residences.<\/p>\n

While detectives were executing the search warrant at the Arcadia Court address, they\u00a0noticed\u00a0the suspected\u00a02015 red Honda Civic leaving the area of Davina Court in Lakewood. The Honda was occupied at the time by three individuals, identified as Sherod Coleman, 32, of Lakewood, and Diane Hunt, 53, and Sabrina Henderson, 34, both of Brick.<\/p>\n

Detectives, along with Lakewood officers,\u00a0conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Civic, police said. A search of the vehicle\u00a0resulted in the seizure of approximately 4,450 individual dosage units of heroin and a Mac 10 submachine gun. Police also seized a loaded high capacity magazine for the Mac\u00a010 from the Honda Civic, the statement said.<\/p>\n

Coleman, Hunt and Henderson were placed under arrest and transported to the Lakewood Township Police Department. Shortly thereafter, members of the Lakewood Police SWAT Team executed the no knock search warrant at 523 Davina Court. As a result of the search warrant at 523 Davina Court, police seized approximately $2,400 in cash.<\/p>\n

The search of the Jackson home resulted in the seizure of\u00a0illegal steroids, prescription pills, and marijuana along with approximately $20,000 in cash<\/p>\n

An additional search on a a vehicle \u2013 the Nissan Maxima \u2013 resulted in the seizure of\u00a0approximately 1,800 individual dosage units of heroin along with a quantity of cocaine. Michael Lewis, 31, of Jackson, was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of heroin over one half ounce with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and eluding a police officer, since he attempted to evade the traffic stop, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Finally, while conducting this investigation, Detectives identified a safety deposit box which was allegedly being utilized by Lewis to store proceeds from his illicit drug distribution activities. On Sept. 2,\u00a0investigating detectives executed a search warrant on the safety deposit box which contained\u00a0approximately $70,000 in cash.<\/p>\n

Altogether, as a result of the\u00a0investigation, police seized approximately 6,250 individual dosage units of heroin, over $90,000 in cash, the Mac 10 submachine gun along with quantities of cocaine, prescription pills, marijuana and illegal steroids.<\/p>\n

Coleman was\u00a0charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin over one half ounce with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during a drug\u00a0offense, possession of a high capacity magazine and unlawful possession of a weapon. Coleman was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.<\/p>\n

Hunt, of Kentwood Boulevard, Brick, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin over one half ounce with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during a drug\u00a0offense, possession of a high capacity magazine and unlawful possession of a weapon. She was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.<\/p>\n

Henderson, of Tammy Court, Brick, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin over one half ounce with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during a drug\u00a0offense, possession of a high capacity magazine and unlawful possession of a weapon. She was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.<\/p>\n

Megan L. Crudup, 24, of\u00a0Arcadia Court, Jackson, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Crudup was released on a summons.<\/p>\n
