Neal Pedersen said. Patrick Brennan, 26, of Brick, was struck by a Chrysler 200 being driven by Joseph Lewis, 34, of Lakewood, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen said the Chrysler was traveling southbound on Lanes Mill and had just passed Stephan Road when the accident occurred. Brennan \u201cstepped into the right lane\u201d near the Brick Liquors store, said Pedersen, at which point he was struck in the southbound lane. Lewis immediately pulled over and called 911, and\u00a0remained on scene to await police arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Brick Police EMS and Monoc paramedics\u00a0transported Brennan to Jersey Shore Medical Center for a head injury. The roadway was closed during the investigation and reopened for traffic at 5:45 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen and Ptl. Scott Dierking from the Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene for the further investigation.
