The five-member board is now completely made up of members appointed by the Democrat-led township council, which in its early days holding a majority of seats pledged\u00a0to appoint members who would not take benefits.<\/p>\n<p>All members of the board are entitled to a $2,500 annual stipend for their service. Those who do not take health benefits are also eligible for a $5,000 waiver bonus. Several members, George Cevasco, Thomas C. Curtis and Susan Lydecker, take the $5,000 waiver payment. Commissioner Gregory M. Flynn takes a $2,481.03 waiver payment. Commissioner James Fozman, who also serves as a township council member, takes neither benefits nor a waiver payment from the MUA, however he does receive medical benefits from his council position.<\/p>\n<p>Maria E.
