Brick Township Chamber of Commerce<\/p><\/div>\n

Brick Township\u2019s Chamber of Commerce will host a gala in December to mark its 60th anniversary, while at the same time honoring the organization\u2019s executive director, who has announced her retirement.<\/p>\n

Michele Eventoff, executive director, is retiring after 25 years of service to the chamber and will be honored at the dinner.\u00a0The 2017 leadership team for the Chamber of Commerce will also be installed that evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwenty-five years is a long time to stay at one job,\u201d Eventoff said in a recent e-mail to chamber members. \u201cThis position and its responsibilities were tailor-made for me. I can honestly say that there were very few days that I wasn\u2019t happy to come to work, even when times had been challenging. You all made it so. I realize how fortunate I am to be able to say that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thankful that I have had the opportunity to get to know so many generous, caring, industrious and creative people,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The event will take place Dec. 8 at Crystal Point Yacht Club.\u00a0The evening\u2019s celebration will begin at 6 p.m., with an open bar cocktail party.\u00a0 The program and celebration, with entertainment by the 10 piece band\u00a0The Jazz Lobsters,<\/i>\u00a0will begin at 7 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sponsorships are available and many of them include invitations for guests. In addition, a special\u00a0Keepsake Commemorative Journal<\/i>\u00a0is being created that will feature photos spanning the last 60 years.
