The Shore area may see between 1-2 inches of snow fall Friday night into Saturday morning, a day after a minimal amount of snow may fall in the evening hours Thursday.
There were no watches, warnings or advisories posted by the National Weather Service, and the two oncoming precipitation events are considered minor.
For Thursday night, the NWS said, there will be a slight chance of snow showers before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Skies will then become mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 31. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
After a mostly sunny day Friday with a high of 42 degrees, a small accumulating snowfall may occur Friday night, the NWS said. The forecast calls for snow overnight, mainly after 1 a.m., with a low around 28. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible. The snow will continue into Saturday morning, possibly mixed with rain before 10 a.m., then a chance of snow between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The daytime high, however, will be 39 degrees, and forecasters do not expect any accumulating snow on Saturday beyond a coating on grassy surfaces.
The sun will return Sunday with breezy conditions and a high of 42 degrees.
