Seaside Heights officials awarded a contract last week for the repaving of two roads in town.<\/p>\n

The roads to be repaved are Barnegat Avenue, from Sherman Avenue to Hiering Avenue; and Sheridan Avenue from Bay Boulevard West Central Avenue. Earle Asphalt will undertake the project. It was funded through the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s 2021 municipal road improvement program, which provided a grant of $326,100 for the overall project.<\/p>\n

“The contract [was] awarded tonight, then there will be pre-construction meetings,” Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz said following a borough council meeting. “It’s a spring project, so it will be starting soon.”<\/p>\n
