(Photo: Union Church of Lavallette)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Lavallette Union Church last weekend held the first of several fundrasiers aimed at raising money to assist victims of Hurricane Ian in southwest Florida.<\/p>\n<p>The church&#8217;s event on Saturday, &#8220;Paint and Pastries,&#8221; was the first of its kind. The group of residents will also host a &#8220;Bake Sale\/Book Swap&#8221; on Nov. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. and a &#8220;Paint and Pizza&#8221; event, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12511\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/lavallette-seaside\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/IMG_20221104_184419961_BURST000_COVER.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"&#039;Paint and Pastries&#039; at the Union Church of Lavallette, Nov. 2022. Members of Union Church will be traveling to Florida in January with a group of volunteers to help &#8220;rebuild and minister to those in need,&#8221; an announcement said.
