The National Weather Service has advised Ocean County residents of the possibility of minor tidal flooding Wednesday and Thursday, as variable weather moves into the area.<\/p>\n

Though no major storms are forecast this week, there is a possibility of minor flooding at times of high tide on both days, the NWS said. Offshore, seas will run 2-3 feet on Wednesday and 2-4 feet on Thursday. A small craft advisory that had been in place expired early Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

According to the NWS forecast, Wednesday will bring a chance of rain, mainly after 12 noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 44 is expected, with a northwest wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming southeast in the afternoon. On Thursday, the forecast calls for a slight chance of showers before 1 p.m., though otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 56 and light southwest winds.<\/p>\n
