Organizers of the 2023 Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade say the show will go on rain or shine Saturday, despite a potentially foul forecast.<\/p>\n

The parade was already postponed once \u2013 on March 11 \u2013 but the forecast for Saturday, April 1, its makeup date, had some questioning whether the parade would be held. A wind advisory is in effect, according to the National Weather Service, and there will be occasional rain and showers throughout the day.<\/p>\n

The parade will go on ‘Rain or Shine,’ an anouncement on social media said, beginning at 12 noon on the Boulevard, from the Seaside Park border into Seaside Heights.<\/p>\n

“In the truest Irish spirit, we have used up all of our Mulligans,” the announcement said. “The parade is a go regardless. Please dress accordingly.”<\/p>\n

According to the National Weather Service forecast for Saturday, there will be periods of rain and thunderstorms before 3 p.m., then a chance of showers between 3 and 5 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

A wind advisory was also in effect, calling for southwest winds of 20 to 30 m.p.h. with gusts up to 50 m.p.h. expected. The wind advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
