It was named for Akers\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/man-arrested-for-drug-death-of-seaside-mayors-son\/152417\/\">late son<\/a>, William Jr., who earned his nickname as a young boy for \u201cbobbing\u201d his head as he learned to interact with others. He worked so hard, he and his wife and family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Akers leased the building in which his business was located, and late last year after Labor Day, the borough approved funds authorized through a state grant to demolish the building.
