It has also inspired us to explore a story on these local islands up and down the bayfront, their names, their importance and some interesting history they may hold. Fortunately, with one exception, the near-perfect weather of this week will continue into the weekend. <strong>According to the National Weather Service<\/strong>, <strong>Wednesday<\/strong> and <strong>Thursday<\/strong> will both be mostly sunny with highs of 78 and 81 degrees, respectively. South winds will be light, but may rise to 10-15 m.p.h. Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 p.m. <strong>Thursday night<\/strong> heading into Friday. On <strong>Friday<\/strong>,\u00a0 there is a strong chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and early afternoon, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. It will otherwise be mostly cloudy, with a high near 78.<\/p>\n<p>The foul weather will be gone by the weekend, however. <strong>Saturday<\/strong> and <strong>Sunday<\/strong> are both forecast to be sunny with daytime highs of 79 degrees.
