The second of three, free live theater performances in Seaside Heights featuring Broadway stars is set for Friday.<\/p>\n

“Broadway Meets the Beach” has become a summertime tradition in the borough, bringing Broadway musicians and actors to the boardwalk for free performances open to the public. All of the shows are held at the Franklin Avenue Stage along the boardwalk.<\/p>\n

The Friday, Aug. 2<\/strong> performance is a \u201cTribute Night to Chazz Palminteri,\u201d the Academy Award-nominated star and writer of the classic film \u201cA Bronx Tale\u201d who is also known for \u201cBullets Over Broadway,\u201d \u201cThe Usual Suspects,\u201d and the hit television show Modern Family. Members of the original cast of The Bronx Tale will perform. The show begins at 6:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After this week’s show, one more remains in the summer lineup.<\/p>\n

The final event of the season, set for Friday, Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, will be a \u201cTribute Night to Lynn Ahrens,\u201d the Emmy and Tony award-winning writer of such megahits as \u201cRagtime,\u201d \u201cOnce on This Island,\u201d \u201cSuessical,\u201d \u201cRocky,\u201d \u201cAnastasia,\u201d \u201cA Christmas Carol,\u201d and the famed Saturday morning cartoons \u201cSchoolhouse Rock.\u201d Broadway stars will appear alongside notable names from television\u2019s \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
