Lavallette continued its \u201cMovies on the Bay\u201d series this week with \u201cUnder the Boardwalk\u201d at the gazebo on the bay beach, drawing a large crowd of residents and visitors as the summer season reaches its home stretch.<\/p>\n

Councilwoman Anita Zalom snapped a few photos of the event and shared them with Shorebeat. There is one more bayside movie showing this season as well as three more weekly concerts on the bay before the summer events end as Labor Day Weekend approaches.<\/p>\n

Movies on the Bay begin after sunset \u2013 or about 8:30 p.m. \u2013 every Tuesday night. The final movie will be shown at the Lavallette Gazebo at Philadelphia Avenue next Tuesday, Aug. 20. \u201cThe Little Mermaid\u201d will close out the season.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the borough\u2019s summer concert series \u2013 held each Sunday at the gazebo at 7 p.m. \u2013 will continue for a few more weeks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The summer concert series is funded in part by a grant from Ocean County.<\/p>\n
