Early birds might not only catch the worm, but some spending money as well.<\/p>\n

Seaside Heights is beginning a new effort this summer to keep the borough clean and tidy, recruiting residents and visitors to become paid members of the “Clean Team,” a group that will disperse throughout town each morning to spruce things up for the day.<\/p>\n

The Public Works Clean Team<\/strong> will “help keep our iconic boardwalk and streets spotless for residents and visitors alike,” an announcement said. Work will begin early at 4 a.m., but the workday will be completed early as well, around 12 noon. The borough has promised “competitive pay” and is seeking earlier risers and those who love the outdoors and want to get their “steps” in for the day \u2013 a novel approach to recruiting for an important \u2013 but hard-to-fill \u2013 job.<\/p>\n

Workers will collect litter and trash in order to keep the boardwalk and public streets clean and in good order for the day ahead.<\/p>\n

The borough is also hiring “Green Thumb Gardener”<\/strong> to work from April through October. The position, according to the borough, requires a passionate and hardworking gardener\/landscaper to help maintain and enhance the charm of Seaside Heights.
