(Borough Photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Lavallette Police Department on Monday announced the tragic news that Robert Lamb, the borough councilman and retired police sergeant, has died.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBob dedicated his entire adult life to the people of Lavallette, serving with distinction as a police officer for 26 years, before serving on the borough council for over 20 years,\u201d the department said. \u201cBob was also a life-long member of the Lavallette Volunteer Fire Company #1, and founding member of the Lavallette Policemen\u2019s Benevolent Association Local #372.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_17446\" style=\"width: 482px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/lavallette-seaside\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/boblamb2.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"Lavallette Councilman Robert Lamb. Justin Lamb, who himself serves as council president in Toms River.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBob Lamb was a strong advocate and fierce defender of his beloved Lavallette,\u201d the department\u2019s statement said. \u201cHe will be greatly missed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Details on services have not been announced.
