The total number of calls handled by the department over the last week was 185. <strong>The blotter appears below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First Aid &#8211;<\/strong> Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who was experiencing nausea and general weakness. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Policing &#8211;<\/strong> Officers were flagged down by two males who requested a ride home. Police were able to accommodate their request and gave them a safe ride home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Noise Complaint &#8211;<\/strong> Police were dispatched to the ocean block of L Street for a large group of people making noise and causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and located those involved. Police made contact with the group and advised them to disperse and to keep the noise down. The party complied with the request. No further police action required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alarm &#8211;<\/strong> Police were dispatched to the area of 2nd and Central Avenue for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and did not locate any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verbal Dispute &#8211;<\/strong> Police responded to the area of Decatur and Ocean for a report of a male and female arguing. Officers arrived and located the subjects that were described. No active fight was observed upon arrival, and the individuals stated it was a misunderstanding. No further police action required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Swimmer in Distress &#8211;<\/strong> Police responded to the area of the 2nd Avenue beach for a report of a female swimmer in distress. An off-duty Seaside Park lifeguard had swum out to help her. The Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Company had deployed their jet ski to assist. The female was safely brought onto the beach. She was checked out by Tri-Boro First Aid Squad at the scene and declined any further medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Traffic Warrant &#8211;<\/strong> While on patrol in the area of the causeway inbound, officers observed a vehicle with no front license plate and initiated a motor vehicle stop. After further investigation it was determined that the driver had an active arrest warrant for a traffic violation out of another jurisdiction.
