(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Seaside Park Police have released their periodic blotter, this time covering the week before the recent Independence Day holiday. The blotter includes a sampling of calls to which officers responded; the total number of calls for the week was 233.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The blotter appears below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alarm &#8211;<\/strong> Police responded to the area of 2nd and Ocean for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the residence, and no signs of forced entry were observed. Police did located subjects at the house, but it was determined that they were authorized to be there and that the alarm was set off in error.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intoxicated subject &#8211;<\/strong> Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton and the Boulevard for an intoxicated male wandering onto nearby properties. Officers arrived and located the male who was found to be highly intoxicated with an abrasion on his forehead. Tri-Boro First Aid Squad was called to the scene, and the subject was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6\/29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carbon Monoxide Alarm &#8211;<\/strong> Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of 9th and Ocean for a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Officers arrived and made sure everyone was out in the fresh air. The fire department arrived and checked the residence with their equipment and determined there was no danger and the alarm was set off by a faulty detector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swimmers in Distress &#8211;<\/strong> There were three separate incidents of swimmers in distress due to strong rip currents on the Stockton Avenue beach throughout the day. Seven people were rescued, and one male was transported to the hospital after he was helped out of the water.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Policing &#8211;<\/strong> While on patrol, officers were flagged down by a juvenile female who had been separated from her parents in the area of Stockton Avenue beach. Officers walked with the individual until they were able to locate her family and reunite the parties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft &#8211;<\/strong> A walk-in at Police Headquarters reported that the spare tire mounted on the rear of their SUV was stolen which was parked in the area of 7th and Central. Officers gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The area was checked for any camera footage that may have caught the incident. This matter is still under investigation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Open Door &#8211;<\/strong> A caller stated that there was an open door to a business in the area of Porter and Central Avenue. Officers arrived and checked the building. No forced entry was observed, and no subjects were located on the premises. Officers secured the door. No further police action required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First Aid &#8211;<\/strong> While on patrol in the area of O St and Boardwalk, officers were flagged down to help a male patient who lacerated his hand while using a drone. The drone propeller cut the victim\u2019s hard open resulting in a deep laceration.
