The total number of calls for service the department handled last week was 218. <strong>The blotter appear below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>4\/24\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Open Door \u2013<\/strong> While on patrol, officers observed an open door to a residence in the area of 8th and Central Avenue. Officers checked the residence to ensure there were no unauthorized people had made entry. No signs of forced entry were observed. The residence was cleared and secured by police.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>4\/25\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Motor Vehicle Stop \u2013<\/strong> While on patrol in the area of O Street and the Boulevard, officers initiated a motor vehicle stop for a vehicle with a suspended registration. While investigating the stop the driver could not provide proof of insurance. The vehicle was towed, and the driver was issued summonses for the suspended registration and driving without insurance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4\/26\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Community Policing \u2013<\/strong> While on patrol on the ocean block of 7th Lane, officers observed a vehicle with the rear lift gate open with no one nearby the vehicle. Police checked the vehicle and did not observe anything suspicious. Officers were able to locate the owner, and they checked their vehicle and confirmed that nothing seemed out of place. The owner secured their vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keep the Peace \u2013<\/strong> Police were dispatched to the area of O Street and the Boulevard to keep the peace between a male and female that were having a disagreement. Police spoke to both parties and gathered the information needed to generate a report. Police stood by while the male retrieved his personal belongings. Both parties went their separate ways.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Policing \u2013<\/strong> While on patrol in the area of the Causeway Outbound Officers observed a dog running away from its owner into the roadway. Officers stopped traffic and were able to secure the dog and return it to its owners without incident.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verbal Argument \u2013<\/strong> While on patrol on the ocean block of O Street, officers observed a vehicle driving suspiciously. The vehicle stopped, the female passenger exited and walked away. The male driver went around the block and picked her back up. Officers made contact with the couple to make sure everything was fine. Police spoke to both parties and they were just having a verbal argument. The couple decided to leave together. No further police action required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4\/27\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>First Aid \u2013<\/strong> Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to the area of 12th Avenue and Barnegat for a male who had fallen from his bicycle. Officers and EMS arrived and made contact with the male who had a laceration on his head. The male was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4\/28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alarm \u2013<\/strong> Police responded to the area of 11th and Barnegat Avenue for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the residence, and no signs of forced entry were observed. The homeowner requested police conduct a walkthrough of the residence. Nothing was out of place, and no unauthorized individuals were inside.
