(Credit: Casino Pier)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The summer of 2017 will bring two new rides to Casino Pier in Seaside Heights \u2013 a roller coaster thrill ride and a Ferris wheel which promises stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and boardwalk.<\/p>\n<p>Casino Pier officials made the announcement Wednesday, coinciding with continuing construction on a pier expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The Ferris wheel,&nbsp;manufactured by Technical Park, will be located &nbsp;on the expanded pier and tower 131 feet into the air, said Maria Mastoris, marketing manager for the park. The new six0passenger Ferris wheel will give guests &#8220;great views of the boardwalk, beach and Atlantic Ocean from high above,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>The roller coaster, which has yet to be named, is a&nbsp;Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter model Roller Coaster which has a 72-foot&nbsp;vertical lift and beyond-vertical drop. A&nbsp;&#8220;sensational&#8221; first drop of 97\u00b0 starts the thrill ride, which tracks at 45 mp.h.
