(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The cost to repaint Lavallette&#8217;s water tower will be about half of what initial estimates for the job predicted.<\/p>\n<p>The borough council on Monday approved a $776,400 contract with&nbsp;Brave Industrial Paint, LLC, to perform the work, which will include repainting of both the interior and exterior of the 500,000 gallon tank.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the project was <a href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/lavallette-seaside\/2016\/08\/lavallette-water-tower-work-expected-to-cost-1-5m\/\">estimated to have cost about $1.5 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s half of what we expected,&#8221; said Mayor Walter LaCicero.<\/p>\n<p>The borough has also applied for state funding to defray the cost of the project.
