Daily beach badges will remain at a single price regardless of the day of the week \u2013 or whether it is a holiday \u2013 next summer.<\/p>\n

The borough council this week adopted an ordinance setting its daily beach badge price at $8. Under a previous ordinance adopted by the council, weekend and holiday badge prices were supposed to have risen to $10, said Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz.<\/p>\n

The standard $8 fee was adopted for the 2017 beach season, but was to sunset after Labor Day. The new fee schedule will keep things stable.<\/p>\n

Additionally, officials are largely scrapping the town\u2019s hotel-specific badge sales in order to encourage visitors to buy badges directly from the municipality.<\/p>\n

There was no word yet on whether seasonal badge prices will change for the 2018 season.\u00a0Pre-season badges cost $45 and in-season badges cost $60 last year.<\/p>\n
