Shore residents got a taste of spring, albeit a month late, last week and over the weekend \u2013 but things will really heat up this week, with temperatures expected to climb into the 80s.<\/p>\n

The one sore spot for the upcoming week\u2019s forecast will be the windy weather that will eventually give way to warmer temperatures. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Monday, running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The warning means that conditions are \u201d ideal for wildland fire combustion, and rapid spread\u201d of fires \u2013 particularly brush and forest fires.<\/p>\n

Monday will start off damp, but the sun will appear by afternoon, the NWS forecast said. By the time the sun arrives, winds will be sustained at 11-20 m.p.h. with gusts as high as 32 m.p.h. The high temperature will be 61 degrees.<\/p>\n

Winds will decrease in speed Tuesday, as the mercury climbs to 71 degrees for a high, with sunshine. Wednesday is when temperatures could reach above 80 degrees, topping out at 83 in inland areas and about 10 degrees cooler near the beaches.<\/p>\n

Temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s will remain in place until Sunday, when highs are reduced to the mid-60s. The next chance of rain will come Friday night.<\/p>\n
