The species was spotted off Island Beach State Park.<\/p>\n<p>The video was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/lkinnj\/posts\/2066248523393835\">shot by\u00a0Laura Kushner<\/a>, an avid snorkeler who&#8217;s also a volunteer with the group. It shows the sea cucumber \u2013 named for its resemblance to the vegetable \u2013 almost playfully shoveling food into its mouth, which is surrounded by tentacles that act as muscles which allow the animal to eat.
