Two Lavallette restaurants were thanked by officials Tuesday after donations to healthcare workers and local police amidst the heavy response to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

The Crab’s Claw In<\/a>n provided 160 meals to Community Medical Center, which were delivered by local residents Brian and Mandy Costanzo.<\/p>\n

“All meals prepared by Chef Craig of the Crab’s Claw!” a Facebook post said.<\/p>\n

The legendary Lavallette bar and restaurant is offering curbside takeout and delivery. Prime rib is the special on Wednesday, the restaurant said via social media.<\/p>\n

Lenny’s Pizza & Italian Grill<\/a>, another borough institution, also lent a helping hand. Lavallette PBA No. 372<\/a> publicly thanked the restaurant for donating dinner to the department Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s times like these where friends are needed most,” the organization said on its Facebook page. “We will pay it forward.”<\/p>\n

Lenny’s, like the Crab’s Claw, is also offering take-out and delivery service.<\/p>\n
