The town took several other steps as well, closing access to borough facilities and banning rentals from online services.<\/p>\n<p>An emergency proclamation was signed Thursday by Police Chief Colin Grant, who also serves as the borough&#8217;s emergency management coordinator, implementing the order.<\/p>\n<p>The order states that the entire length of the Lavallette boardwalk will remain closed until the governor lifts the state of emergency that is currently in place.
