(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Seaside Heights Mayor Anthony Vaz on Monday signed a new emergency order that restricts the renting of properties via online databases and apps.<\/p>\n<p>The order prohibits the rental of homes and any other type of rental units within the Borough of Seaside Heights via Airbnb, VRBO, and other online marketplaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe order will remain in effect until Governor Murphy lifts the State of Emergency or until further action on the part of OEM Coordinator Hershey or Borough Council,\u201d the borough announced.<\/p>\n<p>Lavallette has also banned web-based rentals.
