A much-anticipated beach club, pool bar and entertainment complex on the oceanfront in Seaside Heights is under construction, years after it was proposed.<\/p>\n

The exterior of the future boardwalk entertainment mecca is coming into shape, just as its future neighbor, a 164-seat restaurant, received approval from the borough’s planning board. Borough officials have said they expect the venue will be open for at least part of the 2021 summer season. It received approval one year ago last week<\/a>. Signs posted outside the building show additional images of what the complex will look like and are already advertising beach cabana rentals for the upcoming summer.<\/p>\n

The club resembles many of the ultra-modern day clubs found in Las Vegas and Miami, such as the internationally-famous Drai’s and Nikki Beach. It was designed by MODE Architects, of Asbury Park.<\/p>\n

The heart of the project is the construction of a 17,000 square foot permanent beach bar and a 28,000 square foot pool club. The final phase will consist of the construction of a 10,700 square foot entertainment venue that will seat between 1,000 and 2,000 people.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be a multi-functional building,\u201d said attorney Mark Schneider at a planning board hearing last year, describing the structure as a \u201cvenue style\u201d hub that will be utilized for \u201cmusic, food and beverage service.\u201d<\/p>\n

The club will be located on the former Beach Bar pier between Porter and DuPont avenues, just south of the Beachcomber Bar and Grill.<\/p>\n
