Seaside Heights has created a new program to help senior citizens and military veterans sign up to receive vaccinations for coronavirus, officials announced Wednesday at a meeting of the borough council.<\/p>\n

While the registration will not guarantee an appointment in the short-term, borough officials said the program will allow those who do not regularly use computers to place their name on waiting lists.<\/p>\n

Beginning Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, Seaside Heights residents over age 65 or who have served in the military can call 732-793-9100, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and ask for MaryKate.<\/p>\n

The borough’s representative will be able to help those who have not already registered place their name on a list for vaccination.<\/p>\n

Neighboring Seaside Park is expected to introduce its own similar program soon<\/a> after the borough council provided its endorsement last week.<\/p>\n
