A police-involved shooting is under investigation in South Toms River, prosecutors announced Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

No details about the incident nor its context or location were shared by the Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office in a short statement issued to the press Thursday. The statement only said that the shooting was \u201cnon-fatal\u201d and occurred at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday night. The reason for the lack of information being released was cited as a state Attorney General directive.<\/p>\n

\u201cA public statement will be released upon completion of the investigation, with the approval of the Attorney General,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n
