QuickChek will open its newest Ocean County store to customers in Toms River on Tuesday, marking the fast-growing chain\u2019s second local location to open in the last month.<\/p>\n

Known as a \u201cprototype store,\u201d just like the location that opened in Brick Township Oct. 10, the QuickChek at 3104 Route 37 West, at the Fischer Boulevard intersection, will measure\u00a05,496\u00a0<\/b>square feet and is designed to serve \u201ctoday\u2019s fast casual and millennial shopper,\u201d a company representative said Monday.<\/p>\n

QuickChek, whose main competitor is Wawa, will do its best to lure customers searching for \u201cfresh convenience,\u201d which the company defines as made-to-order sandwiches and meals, as well as grab-and-go items made fresh in the store. The Toms River location will also feature ammenities such as free Wifi and charging stations for cell phones and laptops.<\/p>\n

The Toms River location will offer wider aisles, a fresh color scheme and a larger selection of grab-and-go items than many of the chain\u2019s other stores. There will also be a large stand-alone soup station offering a daily rotation of freshly-prepared soups. Baked goods will be made on the premises, according to the company.<\/p>\n

QuickChek, based in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon County, is donating\u00a0$0.25 for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from Oct. 31 through Nov. 26, 2017 to the Toms River East Little League. Patrons can also get a free large cup of coffee through Nov. 12.<\/p>\n

The company said the new store will create 50 new jobs, including eight management positions, and serve as a $1 million ratable as the township continues to recover from Superstorm Sandy.<\/p>\n

QuickChek officially opens its doors at 5 a.m. Tuesday and will be open 24 hours.<\/p>\n
