(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ortley Beach will receive its next round of beach replenishment later than expected, officials said Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The neighborhood&#8217;s beachfront, which received an emergency round of replenishment in May and June of this year, will now see the permanent project begin in &#8220;late spring,&#8221; later than expected.<\/p>\n<p>Toms River Councilwoman Maria Maruca said officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers told the township a different dredge boat will be used for that portion of the project. Ortley Beach will be replenished using a cutter head dredge instead of a hopper dredge. The work was expected to begin over the winter.
