A one-man theft spree at the ShopRite store on Route 37 in Toms River has police asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.<\/p>\n

According to police spokesman Ralph Stocco, the suspect\u00a0entered an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot at about 10 a.m. Thursday morning and stole a backpack and drum sticks belonging to a local student. Then, he went into the supermarket, loaded up on 13 items and walked out without paying for them, said Stocco.<\/p>\n

The cart was pushed outside to a waiting blue GMC Envoy van with an unknown driver, said Stocco. The van is registered to a Manchester address, however police have not yet tracked down the suspect or the vehicle’s operator. Officer Rebecca Sayegh took the initial investigation report and secured a copy of the surveillance images that are included with this story.<\/p>\n
